Sportradar Integrity Services to investigate potential integrity threats facing the KNVB

Sportradar has announced further integrity measures alongside the Royal Netherlands Football Association (KNVB) in order to cement the current infrastructure it has in place to eliminate match-fixing within the game.
Sportradar’s Intelligence and Investigation Services (I&I), part of Sportradar Integrity Services, has announced the new initiative with KNVB as part of a new multi-year agreement.
The I&I will carry out investigations on the ‘surface, deep and dark web’ to identify integrity threats and inform KNVB about matters regarding match-fixing, irregular betting patterns, match manipulation and corruption.
While Sportradar Integrity Services is already providing integrity measures and bet monitoring of men’s and women’s football matches in the Netherlands, the new agreement will further strengthen the integrity of KNVB.
“We are confident that this partnership will put us in the strongest possible position to uphold the integrity of our competitions,” said Jan Peter Dogge, integrity officer, KNVB.
“KNVB takes the threat of match-fixing and other sporting corruption extremely seriously, and we recognise the experience and depth of knowledge which Sportradar possess in this field. Through this new intelligence partnership, we are looking forward to strengthening our integrity protections in these important areas,” Dogge added.
Andreas Krannich, managing director integrity services, Sportradar, stated: “Corruption in sport lives beyond match-fixing and the importance of robust due diligence measures that touch every area of business cannot be underestimated.
“The evolving threats of match manipulation and other sporting corruption highlight the need for a constant and proactive approach to tackling potential integrity issues,” Krannich added.
“Working with our Intelligence and Investigation services team, the KNVB has shown a commendable commitment to protecting the integrity of Dutch football,” he said.
Last month, Sportradar partnered with the International Handball Federation and in October extended its agreement with the International Tennis Federation (ITF) to serve as the ITF’s official data partner for three additional years.
