Sportsbet.io to replace standard notifications with holograms from ambassadors
2mee’s patented technology sends sporting legends as holograms across app and web channels

Sportsbet.io has announced that as a result of pioneering technology developed and patented by the mixed reality York-based communications company 2mee, that it will replace onsite notifications with messages sent as holograms by their sporting ambassadors.
Sporting legends on the operator’s books including former Australian Test cricketer Brett Lee, former Brazil football international Denilson or ex-Arsenal and England footballer Ray Parlour will deliver offers and updates to Sportsbet’s players via direct human messaging technology to their phone or through the website.
Joe McCallum, head of sportsbook at Sportsbet.io, commented: “Thanks to 2mee, we can bring our ambassadors to life for our users around the world. Instead of standard notifications, Sportsbet.io players now receive personal offers and updates from sporting legends. This is what we mean when we talk about putting our customers at the centre of the universe.”
James Riley, CEO of 2mee, advised: “2mee has successfully developed a patented next-generation communications technology that actually sends people as messages across apps and web channels. Technology should empower human experiences and deliver unparalleled, authentic connectivity between brands and their audiences; 2mee does just that!
“This is especially true in such a noisy digital marketplace where even the top brands are often resigned to driving high-volume communications tactics for low margin returns.
“In a short period, we have seen our clients significantly raise their engagement levels, lower their acquisition costs, while driving up loyalty and retention, with Sportsbet.io being a prime example of what you can achieve when you rebalance human connection with technology.”
In November 2021, Sportsbet.io launched a crypto fan fund as part of its commercial sponsorship with Southampton FC.
