Stars streamlines EPT schedule
Ninth season of live tour will only include eight events, down from 13 this year.
The upcoming ninth season of the PokerStars-sponsored European Poker Tour (EPT) will only feature eight stops, five down on the number included in the current schedule.
Beginning with EPT Barcelona on 15 August this year, the eight events will all feature main event buy-ins of 5,000 or more.
The five events included in the Season Eight schedule but not carried over into the ninth year of the tour are those held in Tallinn, Loutraki, Copenhagen, Madrid and Campione.
EPT president Edgar Stuchly, who took up the role last August, said: “EPT Season 9 will bring a new level of innovation to our tour and will enhance the experience for all players.”
