Start-up studio hires former Evolution and Videoslots senior executives
Malta-based Raw iGaming adds veteran talent to C-suite with arrivals of Ricardo Ruiz and Henrik Fagerlund
Raw iGaming has bolstered its senior leadership team with the appointments of a new chief technology officer (CTO) and chief operating officer (COO).
The start-up studio, based out of Pieta in Malta, has onboarded industry veterans Ricardo Ruiz and Henrik Fagerlund to assume the roles of CTO and COO respectively as it looks to continue its growth roadmap.
Ruiz joins Raw iGaming from Videoslots where he most recently served as CTO from September 2019 until October 2021.
During his time with the Swedish operator, Ruiz oversaw technical growth and innovation as well new market launches across the globe.
Speaking on his arrival, Ruiz said: “It’s such a great time to jump on board, with so much achieved already but still with everything in front of us.
“I look forward to building new technology, culture and a new team that’s going to disrupt the industry in the most spectacular way,” he added.
In joining Raw iGaming, Fagerlund leaves his position as director of product innovation at live casino giant Evolution.
Fagerlund also spent more than six years with NetEnt before the slots firm was acquired by Evolution and held positions including chief product officer and MD of NetEnt Malta during his time with the company.
In his role as COO, he will be responsible for driving company operation including strategy, product development and sales.
