Stoiximan plots new Greece hub to attract tech talent
The Greek operator’s office in Thessaloniki will house 100 staffers including 50 new tech employees

Greek operator Stoiximan is opening a new office in Thessaloniki to attract additional tech talent to the company and boost its recruitment efforts, EGR Intel has learned.
The office will accommodate 100 staffers from both its tech and operations departments, with 50% set to be new hires.
Stoiximan CTO Aris Dimarakis told EGR: “You can consider this as part of our continuous investment in people and technology.
“Nowadays the Tech division of Stoiximan counts almost 200 people, and we plan to expand this number to 300 by the end of 2019.”
The space is located near the city centre and will be officially opened in December. Dimarakis expects the location to attract tech graduates from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
The move will also accommodate growth that is expected to come from Greek giant OPAP acquiring a 36.75% stake in Stoiximan’s parent company.
“The company has considerably increased its headcount in the last 12 months and following the Q4 2018 OPAP investment in Stoiximan, we currently have plans to grow even bigger, and retain Greece as our operational base,” Dimarakis added.
The operator’s main office in Athens currently houses 500 staff members.
Former Betsson VP for corporate development Petra Zackrisson joined the firm in September as part of its recruitment efforts to bring international talent into the company.
The Greek government is currently considering implementing a licensing regime in the country, with licensing fees expected to reach €5m.
