Super affs Casino City, RakeTheRake join GAU; first White List
Super affiliates Casino City and RakeTheRake and have joined the new Gambling Affiliates Union, countering scepticism that larger affiliates would join the group in the same week that the GAU published its first White List of programmes that have agreed to abide by GAU arbitration, including Gala Coral, Eurobet and Sky.

SUPER AFFILIATES CasinoCity and RakeTheRake and have thrown their weight behind the new Gambling Affiliates Union (GAU), countering scepticism that large affiliates would join the group in the same week that GAU published its first ‘White List’ of affiliate programmes that have agreed to abide by GUA arbitration , that includes Gala Coral, Eurobet and Sky.
RakeTheRake chief executive Karim Wilkins dismissed the view that a union would not be supported by other super affiliates as they are better positioned than smaller affiliates to dictate business terms with programmes.
“I don’t think it matters how big you are. When you have lots of people working towards making the industry more regulated, fair and more secure, that’s a good thing, and helps big affiliates as much as small ones. Also, more heads are better than one, so if a small affiliate or group of affiliates have spotted a flaw in a contract that you may not have spotted, that information can be shared effectively. That’s important,” he said.
CasinoCity chief executive Michael Corfman (pictured) said: “Casino City is a member of the GAU [as] I’m a strong believer in supporting everyone I believe is a force for good in the industry. Casino City, both as an affiliate and as the organization that operates the GPWA and the APCW, strongly believes in working together with every ethical organization supporting the advancement of affiliate marketing in the online gaming industry.”
Karim Wilkins added that the union could also prove effective in forcing out practices such as changing affiliate rates without notice and failing to compensate affiliates for cross-selling players affiliates have provided onto other brands.
Wilkins said: “The GAU is a good idea because operators will need to start taking notice if they want to be white listed by the GAU. Affiliates will also be able to come to the site and see which are the reputable companies that have committed to solid contracts and the obligations within those contracts. This means affiliates can be more confident of whom they are working with.”
