Superbet chooses Comtrade platform for omni-channel expansion
Operator moves from existing Bit8 technology to help target Central European markets

Superbet has migrated its back-end onto Comtrade’s iCore platform to help support the operator’s digital growth.
The technology in question is the omni-channel platform used by Superbet in Romania and Poland.
Superbet CEO Sacha Dragic said the switch had been made from the existing Bit8 technology to allow the firm to add more Central European omni-channel markets, including Serbia, Slovakia and the Czech Republic.
Dragic also said Comtrade had promised and delivered on a “very aggressive migration deadline”.
“Having the right platform technology is a key component for our growth strategy,” he added.
“We have been investing heavily in our own sportsbook technology and now combining this with Comtrade Gaming’s backend platform gives us a market leading technology stack.”
Comtrade already provided the back-end for Superbet’s second brand in Romania, Betarena.
The migration is separate from Superbet’s ongoing project to build a new digital sportsbook platform which it aims to deploy in H1 2019. Dragic said the development of the technology could take up to two years after launch, at which point the Central European operation could be migrated over.
Steven Valentine, director of interactive at Comtrade Gaming, added: “Superbet’s plans are some of the most ambitious I have seen and you only have to look at the calibre of the team they assembled to know they are building something very special.”
“At Comtrade we understand that operators want to be able to choose individual elements that suit their business, whether that be proprietary or third party software. Our skill is being able to pull all that together to give the operator exactly what they want.”
