Superbet upgrades London office amid hybrid working pivot
Romanian operator plots October move into 10,300 sq ft office space on Buckingham Palace Road

Superbet is developing a brand-new London office for its UK-based employees.
The new building, based at 111 Buckingham Palace Road in Victoria, is scheduled to open in October 2021 and will provide 135 desks.
The Romanian operator will initially sublet 7,780 sq ft of the 10,300 sq ft space, while the remaining room will play host to 75 UK-based staff, with that number expected to grow rapidly.
Superbet is structured globally by function and has employees working across all operating segments from London, including tech, trading, online, product, HR and finance.
The operator, which also owns offices in Poland, Austria, Croatia, Serbia, Cyprus and Malta, has no plans to enter the UK sports betting market, EGR understands.
The office development work in Victoria has not been impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic, although Superbet has pledged to find a hybrid working model that suits employees.
Superbet’s London team was originally based in Warren Street.
“We want our people to blend the best of office and remote working in a way that works for them,” Superbet chief HR officer Di Maxfield-Twine told EGR.
“We are supporting our employees in making this shift by ensuring our offices are set for flexible working by removing individual offices and creating spaces for interaction and collaboration.
Superbet is also prepared to offer employees open annual leave so they can work with more flexibility and manage their personal time and travel.
“We increasingly hear about our employees’ plans for longer trips abroad that could mix work together with vacations,” she added.
