The Games Company makes debut with Betfair launch
Football themed slots in partnership with Odobo is first launch from games studio established by former bwin.party developers
The Games Company, established by former bwin.party developers Hans Winkelmann and Ian Matthews, has launched its first slots titles on Betfair’s gaming tab after collaborating with games specialist Odobo.
Odobo will intiially exclusively host Football Crazy and Road to Rio on its platform before the titles are later made available to customers on Leander’s remote game server and Playtech-owned GTS.
Winkelmann, managing director at The Games Company, said Odobo’s experience of developing to tight deadlines provided the studio with the “best option” to deliver the games on time.
Winkelmann and Matthews established The Games Company last year after leaving bwin.party, for whom they had produced more than 50 individual slots for its PartyCasino and bwin brands.
A private funding round last year helped expand the company’s product line and head count, and the firm has teased that it is currently working with new partners to release additional mobile and desktop games in the coming months.
