Tipico extends Austrian Bundesliga partnership
Deal extension will see German operator sponsor Austria’s top football division until at least 2020

Tipico has renewed its title sponsorship of the Austrian Bundesliga for another two seasons.
The German sportsbook operator has been in partnership with Austria’s top football league since 2014 and the renewal sees Tipico secure title rights until the 2019/20 season, with the option of an extra year.
Tipico CCO Marlon van der Goes said: “The extension of our cooperation is a mutual commitment.
“Tipico and the Bundesliga stand for football, for trust and constant development and our engagement in Austria has been promoting local football since 2014 and we are proud of that.
“We look forward to the coming seasons and for a new chapter in the Tipico Bundesliga after the league reform,” he added.
The Tipico Bundesliga will be extended from 10 to 12 competing clubs next season while an additional championship round and Europa League play-off has been added to the format.
Bundesliga CEO Christian Ebenbauer: “We are pleased that we were able to extend our partnership with our sponsor Tipico in the long term.
“Therefore the premium product of Austrian club football and highest division will continue to be called the Tipico Bundesliga.
“We will start with an innovative and established partner in the new Bundesliga era and look forward to the future,” said Ebenbauer.
Tipico also centred a major marketing push around the German Bundesliga restart after the winter break in January by enlisting the services of former Bayern Munich goalkeeper Oliver Kahn as a brand ambassador.
