Tivoli Casino moves online with Play'n Go
Danish amusement park owner launches online casino offering.

Play’n Go has fought off competition from seven other providers to win the race to launch an online casino offering for the owner of Danish tourist attraction Tivoli Gardens.
The tivolicasino.dk site has launched ahead of schedule, and offers games including blackjack, European roulette and a selection of online slots.
The brand is owned by Tivoli A/S, the publicly listed company which owns Copenhagen tourist attraction Tivoli Gardens, an amusement park in the Danish capital. Tivoli A/S is one of more than 30 operators licensed to offer casino games in Denmark, although was not among those awarded a licence in the first wave last December.
Swedish developer Play’n Go entered into a deal with Betmotion in March this year, targeting the Latin American egaming market, four months after appointing Boss Media veteran Robert Skogh as its new director of business development.
This is Play’n Go’s second deal aimed at the regulated Danish market, with an agreement signed last November with Gaming Media Group to supply content for its mermaidbet.dk site.
Skogh said the flexibility of Play’n Go’s offering, which allows Tivoli to integrate games from other service providers, gives the operator “The independence to shop around for the very best of applications and systems.”
Tivoli’s head of gaming Lars Dam-Johnsen said of the selection process: “After carefully going through a selection process we narrowed down our online casino platform provider from eight possible to selecting Play’n Go,” explaining Play’n Go won the race on the basis of “Their flexible and high quality back-end system plus the group of people involved.”
