Tombola International nets new MD
Former Playtech B2C operations director Mark Henderson joins privately-owned bingo operator

Tombola International has recruited Mark Henderson as its new managing director based out of Gibraltar, EGR has learned.
Henderson replaces the long-standing Murray Chisholm, who became MD of the international arm of Tombola in October 2014. The status of Chisholm’s ongoing role at Tombola remains unknown.
In his new position, Henderson will be based out of the bingo operator’s Gibraltar office and will oversee operations and market activities of Tombola International brands.
He will also have direct responsibility for Tombola International’s budget and strategic business development initiatives, including market expansion.
Henderson previously served as director of operations for Playtech’s B2C arm for three years, joining in April 2017.
In this post, he was responsible for the supplier’s digital operations team looking after brands including Sun Bingo, Mirror Bingo, Deal Or No Deal, Winner and Fabulous Bingo.
Prior to that, Henderson spent seven-and-a-half years with Rank Group in various roles, including five as a regional manager for the London-listed operator.
In February 2015, he was appointed head of digital operations, with responsibility Rank Group’s Meccabingo.com, before taking up the role of interim operations director in 2017.
Henderson also served as an interim member of Rank Group’s Gibraltar and Alderney executive boards during this period.
Founded in 2011, Tombola International currently has offices in Milan, Madrid and Copenhagen. The group holds licences to operate in Sweden, Denmark, Italy and Spain.
Tombola has not commented on Henderson’s appointment despite being approached by EGR.
