Bank Machine deal will allow gamblers to convert codes from payments firm directly into cash

Ukash has struck a deal with Independent ATM operator Bank Machine to allow the payments company’s codes to be converted cardlessly into cash.
Funds won on egaming sites or ‘change’ from Ukash prepaid vouchers can be turned directly into cash at the operator’s machines across the UK, without the need for a credit or debit card. The agreement makes Bank Machine the first non-bank operator to offer cardless withdrawals.
“This innovation clearly demonstrates that ATMs can provide services that complement those offered on the internet,” Bank Machine business development manager Stephen Hart said. He added that the service would be rolled out across more than 3,000 ATMs.
Ukash CEO David Hunter described the offering, known as Ukash Cash Withdrawals, as “a pioneering step for consumers and e-tailers”.
“We identified that greater flexibility in converting Ukash back into cash was an important customer service advantage,” he added.
The launch of Ukash Cash Withdrawals comes just months after the Queens Enterprise award winner launched its prepaid voucher solution in Argentina.
