Ultimate Gaming signs deal with Trump in New Jersey
Fertitta Interactive subsidiary will provide Trump Taj Mahal with online gaming operations and brand
Ultimate Gaming will partner with Trump Taj Mahal Associates to supply real-money online casino and poker games in the soon-to-opened New Jersey market.
The Fertitta Interactive-owned company will provide its proprietary technology platform and Ultimate Gaming brand, with the agreement labelled a “huge step forward” by chairman Tom Breitling (pictured).
Ultimate Gaming was the first operator to launch a legal online gambling site in the US when UltimatePoker.com was opened for Nevada residents in April.
New Jersey’s draft egaming regulations, published on 2 June, require online firms to partner with the state’s land-based casino operators to receive a licence.
The state’s Department of Gaming Enforcement (DGE) imposed a 29 June deadline for companies to disclose partnerships before further information is requested later this month.
The regulator had previously revealed it is aiming to launch the state’s online gambling market on 16 November, with Ultimate Gaming now poised to be at the forefront of such a launch.
“Ultimate Gaming is a pioneer in the online gaming space and can provide a turnkey solution for our online gaming needs in New Jersey,” said Trump Entertainment Resorts chief executive officer Robert Griffin. “We are delighted to be working with a trusted partner that has a proven track record.”
The Ultimate Gaming brand was launched in June 2012 after parent company Fertitta Interactive acquired California-based poker software provider CyberArts for an undisclosed sum in October 2011.
