Unibet to roll-out ‘Poker 2.0’ next week
Operator looks to cement its position as one of the industry’s biggest poker brands with launch of new client on 1 December

Unibet is to unveil its new ‘Poker 2.0’ client next week as the Stockholm-listed operator looks to continue its success in the vertical since launching on a standalone network.
The software, which will go live on 1 December, is powered by long-time partner Relax Gaming and includes a range of updated features such as a new hand replayer and enhanced graphics.
Available on desktop, tablet and mobile, Unibet Poker will also include improved back-end functionality, and offer a new loyalty scheme and fully integrated missions.
“Unibet Poker 2.0 was built from the ground up and designed to provide us with a foundation upon which we can seamlessly add in-game features to continuously provide the best experience possible for all our players,” Andrew West, Unibet head of poker, said.
“We’re looking forward to collecting feedback on the new software and hope that our players will see the potential for 2017 and beyond,” he added.
The operator has also announced plans to launch its “biggest ever promotion” to coincide with the release of Unibet Poker 2.0, with more than €250,000 in prizes up for grabs.
In 2013, Unibet took the decision to leave Microgaming’s MPN network in favour of launching a new casual player-focused standalone poker product in partnership with the Estonia-based supplier.
The company’s poker business recorded modest growth immediately after the switch but this year has reported strong growth in three consecutive quarters.
According to the operator’s recent Q3 2016 statement, quarterly poker revenues increased 146% year-on-year to £3.2m. In Q2 revenues were up 37%.
