Unibet strikes deal with new slots supplier
Operator to integrate games from Thunderkick, a Stockholm-based supplier founded by former Net Entertainment veterans

Unibet has struck a deal with recently established games supplier Thunderkick, a new venture launched by former Net Entertainment veterans, eGaming Review has learned.
Thunderkick was formed in 2012 by a group of former Net Entertainment employees including Sven Grip who held the roles of CTO and then chief of products and strategy before his departure from the company in 2011.
The Stockholm-based supplier has a 20-strong team, led by Grip as chief executive, and recently received a Malta licence from the Lotteries and Gaming Authority (LGA).
The deal with Unibet represents its first with a real-money operator after originally developing free-to-play slots games and Grip told eGaming Review this morning that he expects the firm to sign more deals in the future.
“We are looking forward to a long partnership with Unibet which is an extremely agile and progressive company,” he said.
“We do have deals with other operators in the pipeline but they also need to have this unique approach,” Grip added.
Unibet is set to launch its first Thunderkick slots game Esqueleto Explosivo today and will integrate up to eight additional titles in the coming weeks.
The operator currently has deals in place with numerous suppliers including Williams Interactive and Net Entertainment but head of gaming Daniel Eskola said he expected the new deal with Thunderkick to prove just as successful.
“I have very high hopes for Thunderkick and expect that multiple operators will sign and launch with them in the near future,” Eskola said.
“The quality of the games and the concept are really good and fresh which we expect to succeed in our core Nordic markets.”
Unibet recently announced a partnership with games supplier Yggdrasil Gaming to integrate its entire catalogue of slots and lottery games including video slot Winterberries, Jokerizer and the daily Lotto7 where players can play for a 2.5m prize.
