Thomas Cook’s Nordic CFO Regina Sippel becomes new finance chief as monopoly operator reshuffles organisation

Veikkaus has announced the appointment of Thomas Cook’s Regina Sippel as its new chief financial officer as the Finnish monopoly kicks off a restructuring of the business.
Sippel, currently group CFO for Thomas Cook’s Nordic operations, will assume her new role on 1 September.
She previously occupied the chief accountant and finance director roles at Thomas Cook’s Tjäreborg subsidiary, before assuming the group CFO role in March 2016.
Kambi’s executive director for state lotteries, Joni Hovi, has been appointed to the post of head of customer relationship for the Finnish monopoly operator.
Hovi previously worked for Veikkaus for 10 years in several roles, most recently as vice-president in charge of international business and partnerships between 2011 and 2013.
In addition to the announcement of the new hires, Veikkaus has confirmed a restructuring of its organisation, together with changes to the responsibilities of individuals within the management group.
As part of the changes, current Veikkaus executive committee secretary Jarmo Kumpulainen will now also oversee the firm’s corporate social responsibility department, while current senior vice president of channel and sales director Jari Heino will assume responsibility for retail sales.
Veikkaus has confirmed that current legal director Pekka Ilmivata, chief information officer Ari Aarnihuhta and current vice president in charge of premises Anna Segercrantz will all continue in their respective roles.
