Vermantia launches customisable live sports channel for Greek operator OPAP
Platform will show over 35,000 live sporting events annually with integrated betting graphics

Vermantia has launched a customised live sports channel for leading Greek online gaming operator OPAP.
The Athens-based omni-channel content solution supplier will provide a package which includes over 35,000 live sporting events with live odds and in-play betting integrated into the streams.
Vermantia has also developed a content management system that will allow OPAP to manually override schedules on demand and truly customise what to offer its users.
The channel will tap into Vermantia’s Connect platform which will provide the latest technology to offer flexible solutions for OPAP.
The live sporting events will be provided by Perform and Sportradar’s live sports content portfolio, which currently includes football, basketball, tennis and volleyball.
As part of the agreement between the two parties, there are provisions in place to integrate additional sports in the future, such as table tennis and badminton.
George Fotopoulos, Vermantia COO, said: “Customers enjoy live sports, and the better the quality of data and content you provide, the more engaged they will be. Our fully bespoke live sports channel has been designed with this in mind.
“Not only does it allow our partners to keep their players updated with the latest betting information and engaged with action-packed content, but it also ensures that they have full control of their betting offering.”
Thanos Rigas, sports betting director at OPAP, added: “With live commentators and overlay graphics displaying markets and odds, we aim to improve even further the betting experience in our shops. I am delighted that we share this ambition with our long-trusted partner, Vermantia, to deliver a top-quality channel.”
