Virgin Games launches mobile casino
Launches with number of Microgaming titles via Quick Fire integration followed by multi-content proposition at a later stage.

Virgin Games is to offer its customers casino games on mobile, the seven year-old company has announced this morning.
Initially launching with a number of Microgaming titles including Thunderstruck and Tomb Raider slot games, Virgin worked with mobile marketing agency, Somo, to integrate its own gaming platform into the mobile offering. Following the launch Virgin said its mobile product would become a multi-content proposition with games from a range of content partners.
The product has been developed as a web application, allowing it to be instantly available to customers without the need for Apple App Store approval. Virgin has also attached its single wallet system to the new mobile product, meaning its players are able to use the same account to play at casino, bingo and poker brands as well as mobile casino.
Simon Burridge, CEO of Virgin Games, said: “With smart phone penetration now exceeding 40% in the UK, customers want and expect to be able to do on their phone what they do on their PC. With the launch of Virgin Casino Mobile we’re simply responding to this demand.
Roger Raatgever, CEO of Microgaming, added: “Microgaming has the strongest portfolio of Flash assets in the industry and our slick, user friendly content is sure to be a big hit with Virgin Games’s fans.”
