Widerström leaves bwin.party for Gala Coral
Chief integration office and group games director leaves bwin.party to head up Gala Interactive.
Former PartyGaming COO Per Widerström has left bwin.party to join Gala Coral as managing director of Gala Interactive after only five months at the company.
Widerström was made chief integration officer and group games director at bwin.party following the merger in April last year, but resigned from this role in August. He joined Gala Coral at the start of November after completing his period of gardening leave.
In his new role at Gala Coral, he will be responsible for Gala Bingo and Gala Casino online, working alongside Coral’s director of interactive John O’Reilly, who joined in August 2011.
The company is in the process of moving its egaming operations to Gibraltar. It holds an existing licence in the jurisdiction via Coral Interactive, and has applied for Gibraltar betting and gaming licenses for Gala Casino, Gala Bingo and Coral Interactive.
