William Hill launches £50m Prem League jackpot campaign

Operatorâs Prem Predictor competition to be backed by major acquisition drive in run up to new season
William Hill is offering customers the chance to win a £50m jackpot on upcoming Premier League football season as the operator bids to be âfront and centre in peopleâs mindsâ ahead of the big kick-off.
Customers can enter the Prem Predictor 2015-16 competition in shop, online and via mobile at a cost of £2p per entry, with a maximum of 250 entries per person and a cap of 1m total entries.
The £50m prize pot will be shared equally if more than one person correctly predicts the final positions of all 20 clubs and, in the event of no correct guesses, a £100,000 consolation prize will be paid to the person with the closest entry.
âThe competition is designed to put William Hill front and centre in peopleâs minds with the new season kicking off,â a William Hill spokesperson told eGaming Review this morning.
The spokesperson also confirmed the Prem Predictor competition will be backed by a full marketing campaign across TV, radio, desktop, mobile, social media and print.
On 10 July the operator launched a dedicated mobile app specifically for the competition, enabling customers to make their predictions in-app while also offering a seamless login to William Hillâs flagship sportsbook app.
The launch of its new player acquisition campaign coincides with the ongoing roll-out of a new responsive front-end, a project named internally as Project Trafalgar, which will give it full autonomy over its customer-facing website.
News of the website overhaul comes after William Hill launched an innovative pre-paid MasterCard which enables customers to spend money anytime, anywhere direct from their William Hill accounts.
