William Hill named as multi-year betting partner of the Grand National Festival
888-owned bookmaker announced as the official betting partner for the three-day horseracing festival

William Hill has been named the official betting partner for the Grand National Festival at Aintree Racecourse.
The deal will last for three years and bolsters the bookmakers’ presence at the Liverpool race track as it already has several on-course shops.
Hills will also sponsor three ITV-televised races during the meet in the shape of the Grade 1 William Hill Aintree Hurdle on Thursday 13 April, the William Hill Handicap Hurdle on Friday 14 April and the Grade 3 William Hill Handicap Chase on Saturday 15 April.
The deal follows the recent agreement with former jump jockey and 2003 Grand National winner Barry Geraghty to become a brand ambassador for the operator.
Daryl West, head of sponsorship, social and PR, said: “The Grand National Festival at Aintree is one of the pinnacles of the National Hunt calendar, and we are delighted to be involved as the official betting partner for the next three years.
“Horseracing is a vital part of our heritage, and it was an easy decision for us to support not just the biggest race in the sport but a huge event in the annual sporting calendar.”
Dickon White, Aintree and North West regional director at The Jockey Club, added: “William Hill is synonymous with horseracing in this country, so we are thrilled they are going to be involved with our flagship meeting at Aintree for the next three years.”
This is the latest deal William Hill has signed and is the first since it penned a deal with Premier League side Aston Villa at the end of December to become the former European Cup Winner’s in-stadium betting partner for the next two seasons.
