William Hill recruits new compliance director from Lottoland
Lloyd Lemmon joins the London-listed operator in newly created UK-focused legal role

William Hill has appointed Lloyd Lemmon as director of legal and compliance for its UK online business.
Lemmon – previously general counsel and group company secretary at lottery betting firm Lottoland – started his new role at the UK bookmaker on 7 January.
He will remain in Gibraltar and will report into William Hill UK Online MD Phil Walker.
In this newly created role, Lemmon will be responsible for all legal and compliance matters for the operator’s UK-facing online brands, including William Hill, Mr Green and redbet.
Lemmon worked as a director for US lottery messaging service LottoGopher between 2016 and 2018, before a three-year stint with Lottoland.
Lemmon joins William Hill during a period of staff turnover after the operator confirmed the resignations of CFO Ruth Prior and director of strategy and sustainability Lyndsay Wright.
William Hill also shut down its Mr Green sportsbook in Germany yesterday.
