William Hill to refocus its media buying efforts in UK
Operator is reviewing its current media planning and buying partnership with plans to shift its focus in the media

William Hill is reviewing its media planning and buying efforts in the UK, the operator has confirmed.
At present Hills employs London and Manchester-based agency Vizeum to drive its marketing and media efforts, but the operator has opened up its business to possible new partnership, although Vizeum have been invited to repitch for the business.
The shift comes amid a period of uncertainty in the marketing space, with the forthcoming whistle-to-whistle ban on gambling ads during live sport seen in some quarters as a chance for operators to test new and innovative marketing strategies.
Back in November Hills hired former British American Tobacco (BAT) brand director Charlotte Emery as its new global brand and marketing director, to replace Kristian Welch and review the operator’s marketing investments.
Hills is also expected to invest more in marketing in the US as part of its expansion.
