William Hill’s Andrew Lyman named Gibraltar regulatory head
Lyman is currently director of regulatory affairs for the operator and will take up his new position in January 2018

The Gibraltar government has announced Andrew Lyman as the new head of Gibraltar’s gambling authority.
Lyman will take over from Phill Brear, who will step into an authority advisory role in January 2018.
Lyman is currently the director of regulatory affairs at William Hill, while his previous roles include director of monitoring and enforcement at the UK Gambling Commission and chief executive for the Association of British Bookmakers.
He will lead the Rock’s gaming tax restructure and introduce the Gambling Act Review in 2018.
Minister for gambling Albert Isola said Lyman was well known in the industry as an authoritative voice on policy, regulation and public affairs.
“Andrew will now be driving the excellent work of the gambling division and enhancing that process. The government recognises that this area needs more resource and support and we are very fortunate to have Andrew joining us.
“I am pleased that we will continue to have the experience, knowledge and support of Phill Brear in his new position supporting Andrew and government in this area,” Isola added.
Brear’s retirement was first announced in September 2016.
