William Hill finance director Neil Cooper departs
The operator's group finance director to leave after five years for CFO role at residential property firm Barratt Developments

William Hill’s group finance director Neil Cooper will leave the firm in the coming months to join residential property development company Barratt Developments, the operator announced this morning.
It has yet to be decided exactly when Cooper, who will join Barratt as chief financial officer, will leave the firm although it is thought unlikely he will be asked to see out his 12-month notice period.
“Neil has been a key part of our management team since May 2010,” James Henderson, William Hill CEO, said.
“During that time, he has built a strong finance and investor relations team and supported the group’s digital and international diversification. He leaves us in excellent financial health,” he added.
Cooper has worked at the operator for over five years after being appointed group finance director in May 2010, with William Hill now beginning its search for his successor.
“I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at William Hill over the last five years and am proud of the significant progress that we have made in cementing our UK leadership position and in expanding into Australia and the US,” Cooper said.
Before joining William Hill, Cooper previously worked as finance director at housebuilding company Bovis Homes Group and held numerous financial roles at companies including Whitbread Hotels and Restaurants and Reckitt & Colman.
