Winamax launches in-house TV channel
French operator to broadcast daily poker programmes and sports shows across a host of digital streaming services

Winamax has launched its own in-house poker and sports TV channel as the French operator continues to expand its broadcasting capabilities.
Winamax TV kicked off the New Year with its first broadcast on 9 January and has shown more than 40 hours of content over 25 live programmes in its first week.
Content can be viewed on Twitch, Facebook, YouTube, Periscope and Molotov, as well as the operator’s official website as the company looks to cover all digital channels.
The operator had been working on the web TV project for several months, with the finished product featuring 22 guest presenters running more than 15 shows, seven days a week.
Harper, the host of the new Multiplex Poker TV show said: “Winamax TV is the logical continuation of what the site has always offered since its inception, with ambitions pushed even further.
“There will be analysis, debates and a good dose of humour from guests who will take turns all week long, although the public will be the main player, whether that be through betting, playing poker or interacting live with the presenters.”
Poker shows dominate the listings schedule in line with the operator’s strongest performing vertical, but there are also a host of sports programmes, including a weekend football round-up fronted by former France international, Vikash Dhorasoo.
The last big broadcasting push from Winamax saw the operator seal a live streaming deal with Perform Group in November 2016.
