Witten leaves Lads for Tipp24
Director of ecommerce and mobile to drive global expansion of German egaming brand.

Ladbrokes’ former director of ecommerce and mobile Paul Witten has joined Tipp24 as managing director and head of business development for the operator’s UK subsidiary.
Witten joined Ladbrokes in February 2009 to take charge of the operator’s online sportsbook, before being handed responsibility for customer development in a reshuffle of Lads’ egaming division in November 2010, spending a year in the role, before being moved to head up ecommerce and mobile. In his newly-created role, he will be responsible for the global expansion of the Tipp24 brand.
Last year Tipp24 recorded its twelfth consecutive year of revenue growth, contributing to an 85% year-on-year rise in net profits. 2012 also saw the operator spin off its Lotto24 subsidiary with its MyLotto24 brand applying for an Alderney Gambling Control Commission licence in May.
Before starting work at Ladbrokes, Witten spent almost four years at Betfair, joining the betting exchange from eBay in November 2004. He spent around two and a half years as marketing director before taking over the P&L of the company’s football division.
