Williams Interactive sells JackpotParty.com to SkillOnNet
Software provider SkillOnNet acquires UK-facing B2C business following Scientific Games acquisition of WMS last year
Williams Interactive has sold its B2C business JackpotParty.com to egaming software provider SkillOnNet as part of a move to focus solely on its B2B operations.
The fee paid for JackpotParty is currently undisclosed, but it has been confirmed that Cyprus-based SkillOnNet is to acquire all JackpotParty assets from WMS, including its player database.
A new domain – SlotsMagic.com “ has been set up to host all current JackpotParty players which will have access to each game offered by JackpotParty, including those from providers including NexGen and Amaya.
Affiliates have been instructed to direct traffic to the new SlotsMagic.com domain and replace all banners, reviews and links to those provided by SlotsMagic.
Williams Interactive is understood to have courted interest in the business following its $1.5bn acquisition by Scientific Games, which completed in October 2013.
The deal will see the slots games provider focus solely on its B2B business which also incorporates the Affinity Gaming Play4Fun white-label gaming platform.
“After four years operating the award-winning JackpotParty.com online casino, Williams Interactive is now focusing its efforts and resources on the best-in-class digital distribution of our unrivaled content library of casino games,” Orrin J. Edidin, group chief executive for Williams Interactive, said.
“As we make this important step forward in our company’s journey to provide the world’s most compelling iGaming experiences, we have great confidence that SkillOnNet is the perfect partner to continue delivering the high-end player experience for which JackpotParty.com is known,” he added.
The sale follows Scientific Games’ disposal of its stake in UK-based sports betting supplier Sportech for around £28m as part of a bid to profit from non-core lottery assets to contribute towards debt reduction initiatives.
