Worldlink becomes Sunderland AFC betting partner
Deal with English Premier League club revealed to be one of the three partnerships agreed by Worldlink last week.

Mobile sports data provider Worldlink has announced that Sunderland AFC is one of the three English Premier League football clubs with which it agreed partnerships last week.
Worldlink becomes the club’s official betting and gaming partner under the terms of a three-year deal which will see it provide mobile and desktop betting applications, powered by its betting brokerage partner Bet Butler. The partnership also ties Worldlink in to unnamed “financial commitments” which it plans to finance “From its on-going discussions with a range of partners.”
Commenting on the deal Sunderland’s chief executive Margaret Byrne said: “I am absolutely delighted to welcome Worldlink as one of our key partners.
“They impressed us not only with their product but their commitment to a long term partnership and we are looking forward to building a successful relationship with them over the next three years,” she explained.
The deal comes after Sunderland’s two-year shirt sponsorship deal with tombola ended, with the bingo operator being replaced on the club’s kits by charity Invest in Africa in an agreement announced just over a week ago.
It follows the hiring of Stephen Pearson as Worldlink chief marketing officer last month. Pearson was previously marketing director of TEAM Marketing AG, UEFA’s official marketing partners for the Champion’s League and commercial director of the English Premier League, during which time he brokered shirt sponsorship deals between Arsenal and Sega Dreamcast, and Tottenham Hotspur and Mansion.
