WynnBet makes debut in trio of new US states
Wynn Resorts’ sports betting division launches Scientific Games-powered brand in Indiana, Virginia, and Tennessee

WynnBet, the sports betting product operated by Wynn Resorts, has launched in three new states: Indiana, Virginia, and Tennessee.
The US casino operator’s sports betting platform utilizes Scientific Games’ OpenSports product suite and managed trading services derived from SG’s Don Best Sports service.
The triple launch takes the number of states with access to WynnBet sportsbooks to eight, with WynnBet already operating in New Jersey, Colorado, Michigan, Virginia, and Indiana.
WynnBet also has market-access agreements in Iowa, Massachusetts, and Ohio, three jurisdictions where sports betting is currently not legal, as well as Nevada.
Launched in 2020, WynnBet is headquartered in Jersey City, New Jersey, serving as the authorized gaming operator of NASCAR and betting partner of the NBA’s Memphis Grizzlies and Detroit Pistons.
Speaking about the launch, Scientific Games SVP and GM for the US market Cathryn Lai said: “Three new state launches in quick succession showcases the huge craving for sports betting experiences on the biggest sporting events throughout the US and beyond.
“This is an exciting and important milestone in our partnership with WynnBet. These launches are also a testament to the power of OpenSports, with the platform ready to take the player offering in these three states to new heights,” Lai added.
WynnBet forms part of the Wynn Interactive division of Wynn Resorts, and is set to be included in a stock market floatation process as part of a reverse SPAC merger with Austerlitz Acquisition Corporation I.
The listing values the total Wynn Interactive business at $3.2bn and when completed will see the firm significantly invest in broad-base marketing over the next two years as it looks to go toe-to-toe with sports betting heavyweights DraftKings, BetMGM, and FanDuel.
