YouGov promotes from within for head of global gaming and US sports hire
Former Nielsen exec Nicole Pike expands remit as research and data firm bolsters US division

YouGov has strengthened its US-facing team with the promotion of Nicole Pike to the role of head of global gaming and US sports.
Pike joined YouGov in June 2020 as global sector head of esports and gaming and has now seen her responsibilities expanded.
Prior to joining YouGov, Pike spent more than 13 years with Nielsen in a series of senior roles.
She served as esports global research and product lead before being promoted to become Nielsen esports MD.
Her final role with the company saw her serve as MD of Nielsen esports, games and super data from February 2020 until June 2020.
In her newly expanded role, Pike will be responsible for leading the data and insight production for the gaming and esports industry, as well as working with the US sports industry.
She will continue to be based in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Pike said: “I’m happy to share that I’ve expanded my role at YouGov to now be head of global gaming and US sports.
“I’ve been enjoying the past several weeks of working more closely with some of the largest and most respected sports rightsholders, teams and sponsors in the world that we are honoured to call our clients.
“At the same time, I’m also continuing to further build out our gaming and esports team to meet the ever-growing demand for YouGov’s data and insights in this sector.
“I’m beyond lucky to now work in two of the most engaging and exciting industries, and can’t wait to lead YouGov’s critical involvement in both moving forward,” she added.
