
ZEAL evolves senior management team
Lottery operator’s 2018 executive restructure sees new COO and corporate development director appointed


Lottery operator ZEAL has today announced two senior role changes as part of a management reshuffle designed to help the firm “revolutionize” the lotteries sector.
Susan Standiford is changing titles from chief technology officer (CTO) to chief operating officer (COO), where she will be handle both job roles and responsibilities, including the Group’s HR functions and wider operations. Standiford will also become general manager for Zeal’s social lotto brand, Lottovate.

Director of ZEAL Investments James Oakes also has a new role at the firm, becoming corporate development director. Oakes will be in charge of M&A and external investments, as well as overseeing internal incubation projects.

ZEAL CEO Dr Helmut Becker said: “We made good progress towards our vision in 2017, and we don’t intend to stop there.
“We have lots more exciting things happening in 2018 and Susan and James’ role changes are a natural next step as we revolutionize the sector on our way to creating a better world of lottery.”
ZEAL will be hoping to build on the launch of its first national lottery in Norway in 2018.
