Zombies descend on Glasgow as Paddy Power trolls Celtic
Irish bookmaker brings marketing mischief to Celtic Park after “apocalyptic” start to season

Paddy Power has pushed the marketing boat out once again by sending a pair of zombies to Celtic Park in reference to the Scottish Champions’ “apocalyptic” form.
Celtic are currently nine points adrift of arch-rivals Rangers at the top of the Scottish Premiership and look set to crash out of the Europa League after a 4-1 home defeat by Sparta Prague.
According to Paddy Power, this leaves Neil Lennon’s side facing the “Doomsday” scenario of losing the title to Rangers and failing to accomplish the fabled 10 in a row, having triumphed in all of the last nine domestic seasons.
The Bhoys have won just one of their last six matches to leave Rangers – now managed by Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard – as odds-on 4/9 favourites for the championship.

“As supporter meltdowns continue on social media, we have poked fun at the crisis by sending a couple of zombies to raid Celtic Park for their silverware,” said Paddy Power.
“This apocalyptic scenario for Neil Lennon started with Celtic’s loss in the Old Firm Derby – and he might not be manager 28 Days Later, if current results continue.
“Thursday felt like Night of The Living Dead, and for once Celtic fans weren’t bemoaning the zombies from across town – but the walking dead wearing the green and white hoops.”
Former Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe is now 11/10 to become the next Celtic manager with Paddy Power, having been backed in from 5/1 less than a week ago.
Last month, Paddy Power made a mockery of Manchester United’s transfer window activity by building a temporary shop window.
