NLOP, the free-to-play online poker site, is celebrating its 15th anniversary by offering some big cash prizes. Alexis Dubbs, marketing manager of parent company Cafrino, tells us more
The National League of Poker (NLOP) passed its 15th year in operation as a legal online poker haven in 2021. To celebrate this milestone, NLOP gave away over $500,000 in prizes to its loyal fan base and new players alike. This marks over $6m in prizes to date from the fully legal, free-to-play site since its launch in 2006. NLOP predicts this number to grow in the coming years.
Not only have the prizes grown, but so have the ways in which players can enjoy the platform. In 2021, NLOP launched its mobile app for Android and iOS users in the Google Play and App stores. This was a huge step in allowing players to enjoy access to the games 24/7 from the convenience of their mobile devices. Go to https://poker.nlop.com for more details.
For the last year, NLOP has been running back-to-back $25,000 series. Currently, it is the $25,000 Summer Splash taking centre stage. Implementing a poker series with steps has allowed the top players to challenge themselves and earn their way to the championship game, where the winner takes a $10,000 payout. Players work their way through the steps for free, to get a chance at the huge prize. Championship qualifying step eight games take place every Wednesday and Saturday at 8pm Eastern Time (ET).
In addition to large cash prizes, the National League of Poker has sent many players to the World Series of Poker (WSOP). In 2021, 18 NLOP players were sent to WSOP events, with two NLOP players sent into the WSOP Main Event by the company. This is a dream come true for these poker fans who have always wanted a shot at the infamous Main Event. Players worked their way through a Main Event Mania series for this once-in-a-lifetime prize.
Players at NLOP enjoy a unique social gaming experience. Over 1.5 million registered users keep the games competitive – games like the $5,000 High Roller to a $2,000 Freeroll. Keep an eye out for this legal poker entity as our prizes continue to grow!
