
Amaya names former Playtech director as new CTO
Dr Jerry Bowskill joins to lead company's team of 300 technologists worldwide


Amaya has appointed former Playtech director Dr Jerry Bowskill as its new chief technology officer, the firm announced Wednesday.
Bowskill joins the company today and will reporting directly into Amaya CEO Rafi Ashkenazi.
As part of his role, Bowksill will lead a team of more than 300 technologists and developers worldwide.
“Jerry’s wealth of technical expertise and commercial experience will be a great asset for our gaming and interactive brands. I look forward to working closely with him again,” said Ashkenazi.
The two executive previously worked together at Playtech from 2009 to 2012, where Ashkenazi was COO and Bowskill served as the technology and solutions director.
He also spent three years Scientific Games, including a stint as CTO of SG Interactive. Bowskill joins Amaya from his current role as a technology consultant for Partis Solutions, which services egaming companies.

The Amaya executive team has enjoyed an infusion of fresh talent in recent months, with Bowskill’s appointment following the hiring of Brian Kyle as CFO, Robin Chhabra as corporate development officer, Bo Wänghammar as MD of PokerStars Casino, and Zeno Ossko as MD of BetStars.
