Stratosphere’s social casino sites to close
acePLAY Casino and acePLAY Poker to be shut down in November following sale of ACEP

The Stratosphere’s social poker and casinos products will deal their final hand in November.
ACEP Interactive, the operator of acePLAY Casino and acePLAY Poker, announced last week the sites would be closing on November 22, following the sale of the ACEP to Golden Entertainment for $850m.
ACEP operates four properties in Nevada, including the Stratosphere.
AcePlay told players it was “not a part of the new owner’s plans”.
The site said in a blog post: “It is with a heavy heart we are announcing that acePLAY Casino will be shutting down Wednesday November 22nd. Our parent company was recently acquired, but unfortunately we will not be coming along for the ride. We have sincerely appreciated our loyal players over the past 2 years and you will be greatly missed. We thank you for your support.”
The sites were originally launched back in 2015, and even had a real money poker licence that they never took advantage of, presumably thanks to the lack of liquidity in the Nevada/Delaware pool.
The sites were mainly used as a promotional and loyalty tool for the four ACEP Nevada properties.
The acePLAY Poker site utilised the Ongame platform for its games.
