SugarHouse first to market with virtual sports betting
At least five other operators expected to follow with launch of RNG-powered virtual sports events

SugarHouse Online Casino has become the first New Jersey site to launch virtual sports thanks to a partnership with provider Inspired.
The agreement will see SugarHouse take bets on five virtual sports, including horseracing, greyhound racing, motorbike and car racing and soccer, with more to follow soon.
“We are excited to lead the way in bringing online virtual sports betting to the United States with our debut in New Jersey,” said Richard Schwartz, president of Rush Street Interactive.
Inspired’s MD Digital, Lucy Buckley, described the launch in New Jersey as, “fantastic news for the business and for the North American gaming industry alike.”
Virtual sports combine HD graphics with live commentary, simulating a real sporting experience.
However the results are determined by a random number generator, meaning the games are classified as casino products and thus legal in New Jersey.
Inspired is expected to go live with similar deals at half a dozen New Jersey online casinos including the Golden Nugget, Betfair, Caesars, Borgata and Resorts.
