Golden Nugget hails importance of size as it launches 500th game
Operator says broad game library was behind its 81% surge in wagers last year

Golden Nugget has hailed the importance of a vast game library after the operator celebrated the launch of its 500th game this week.
The firm, the market leader in New Jersey, now has 500+ games on desktop and 300+ on mobile.
“We added no less than 136 new games in 2017,” said Thomas Winter, senior vice president, and general manager for online gaming at Golden Nugget.
“This year will be no different and in the last few weeks we’ve already launched innovative games such as Live Dealer Casino Hold’em, Slingo and Virtual Sports.
“Our market-leading offer more than ever positions GoldenNuggetCasino.com as the online destination of choice for authentic casino players.”
The operator said its vast game library was a key driver behind its 81% increase in total wagers in 2017 vs 2016.
Indeed, several other firms have been following in Golden Nugget’s footsteps in recent months, with 888 recently adding around 50 new games to its B2C site.
A recent report on the market by NJonlinegambling.com pointed to growing game libraries as one of the key growth drivers for firms in the market last year.
“Top sites saw their slot lobbies swell to over 400 while new sites debuted with over 200 titles,” the report noted.
“And mostly forgotten sites, particularly those powered by 888, surprised by effectively doubling their slot libraries. The surge in the number of online slots was even more pronounced on mobile casino apps, which finally became worthy counterparts to desktop casino clients in 2017.”
