GVC subsidiary to power sports betting in Delaware
Operator’s Stadium Technology arm to power the launch of single-game betting in the state this afternoon

GVC Holdings has hailed the launch of single-game sports betting in Delaware today, with the firm’s Stadium Technology subsidiary set to provide the sports betting technology to the state.
Stadium will initially support the roll-out at the state’s three casinos, with plans to add betting terminals in 100+ licenced locations in the state.
GVC’s director of development and corporate strategy, Adam Greenblatt said: “We are delighted to be up-and-running as the first – and currently only – provider with a market-ready solution for our partners in the new regulatory environment.
“As legislation evolves in the post-PASPA world, having the capability and flexibility to be able to get to market fast, with proven and compliant technology, is a key advantage for us.”
All gaming in the state comes through the Delaware Lottery, which operates on a Scientific Games platform. William Hill is also the exclusive risk provider for betting in Delaware.
Delaware is able to offer sports betting quickly as it was one of four states allowed to take bets before the repeal of PASPA, although it was limited to parlay betting.
Speaking last week about the race to get sports betting up and running, Governor John Carney said that: “Delaware has all necessary legal and regulatory authority to move forward with a full-scale sports gaming operation, and we look forward to next week’s launch.
“We’re hopeful that this will bring even more visitors into Delaware to see first-hand what our state has to offer.”
