Resorts AC partners with SBTech for multi-channel sportsbook
EGR understands the supplier also has a similar deal lined up with the Golden Nugget

Resorts AC has announced a new partnership with European sportbsook supplier SBTech to provide a mulit-channel sportsbook.
The deal is the second major US partner signed by SBTech, after its deal with Churchill Downs, and EGR understands the provider is set to announce a third deal later this week with New Jersey market-leader, the Golden Nugget.
Resorts was the fourth largest online gaming operator in New Jersey in May with revenues of $3.6m, while Golden Nugget was far and away the largest, with revenues of $8.6m – good for a 35% market share.
SBTech CEO, Richard Carter, said: “Our strategic partnership with Resorts represents the next stage of our long-planned penetration of the US market.
The sportsbook supplier declined to comment on the Golden Nugget deal.
The Resorts sportsbook contract covers on-property, online and mobile in New Jersey, subject to the appropriate regulatory approvals, with Resorts fully outsourcing its risk management and trading to SBTech.
The provider will implement a bespoke risk management strategy, in a bid to “achieve genuine differentiation in a crowded field and be in full control of liabilities and not be influenced by a wider pool-based risk management”.
Mark Giannantonio, president and CEO of Resorts Casino Hotel, added: “After conducting a comprehensive selection process to find the right sports betting supplier, we feel that SBTech offers the right combination of deep regulatory expertise in the world’s most dynamic and demanding markets and the scalability to support our ambitious multi-vertical plans.”
