
Online growth powers 82% rise in New Jersey betting revenues
Online and mobile accounts for 72% of $331m in handle for the state


New Jersey sports betting revenues climbed 82% month-on-month to $21.2m in November, thanks to rising handle and a better hold rate for the month.
Total handle rose 27% to $331m, with a hold rate on completed events of 6%.
Mobile and online betting accounted for 72% of the overall handle, with the channel growing at 37% compared to 75 for retail.
DraftKings and FanDuel continued to lead the market in first and second respectively, accounting for two thirds of the market between the pair.
The Resorts license, which includes DraftKings and BetStars, has digital revenues of $7.1m to of a total of $14.4m, while the Meadowlands license (FanDuel) contributed digital revenues of $4.4m.
The Monmouth Park license which includes William Hill and SugarHouse came in third in the market with digital revenues of $1.5m.
The New Jersey online gambling market also set a new record with revenues of $26.9m, driven again by online casino.
Online casino revenues were up 35% year-on-year to $25.4m, while poker declined 2.4% to $1.6m.
Golden Nugget continued to lead the way, with revenues exceeding $9.2m Borgata also enjoyed a strong month, gaining 14% to 4.8m, just shy of a company record.
