Exclusive: Oddschecker hires new US chief from Catena Media
Nick Wilby joined the odds comparison business earlier this week to lead the company’s push into US sports betting

Oddschecker Global Media has hired Catena Media’s head of publishing Nick Wilby to help lead the odds comparison company’s expansion into the US betting market, EGR can reveal.
Wilby, who will report into Oddschecker’s international director Andy Lulham, officially started at the London-headquartered firm earlier this week, following a two-year stint at Catena Media.
In his head of US role, Wilby will be in charge of building the Oddshecker brand in the US market following the repeal of PASPA last year, starting with an odds comparison product in New Jersey.
Oddschecker’s international director Andy Lulham said: “I’m delighted that Nick has joined Oddschecker Global Media to head up our US operations.
“His considerable industry knowledge and experience will be a great asset to the group as we build upon our recent launch into the US market.”
Wilby added: “Oddschecker is a company I have long admired and it is a really exciting time to be joining.
“We have ambitious plans to quickly grow our business in the US market as the regulatory landscape continues to evolve.”
Wilby takes up his role at Oddschecker from Stockholm-listed affiliate Catena Media which he joined in 2017 following Catena’s acquisition of Bettingpro.com for approximately £14m.
Wilby had previously worked at Bettingpro.com owner Caledonian Publishing for more than eight years, holding roles including head of betting and gaming and head of horse racing.
His appointment comes after Oddschecker recently combined with The Stars Group’s affiliate business iBus Media to rebrand as Oddschecker Global Media, in a bid to increase the company’s international footprint.
