
Rush Street launches first New York sportsbook at Rivers Casino
FanDuel’s Tiago Downs sportsbook to open doors later this week with Caesars primed for August launch


Rivers Casino and Resort in upstate New York took the first legal sports bet in the state this morning (July 16), six years after a law permitted betting at four on-site locations.
The Rush Street-owned Schenectady casino’s sportsbook is operated by its digital arm Rush Street Interactive, with the back-end platform powered by Kambi.
The 5,000 square-foot venue offers betting on a range of sports including professional baseball, tennis, soccer and football.

FanDuel’s Tioga Downs sportsbook will open its doors the Friday, with New York State assemblywoman Donna Lupardo taking the first bet.
The Oneida tribe’s Caesars’ sportsbook will be launched at both its Turning Stone Resort Casino and Point Place Casino on August 1, while its Yellow Brick Road Casino sportsbook will open its doors later in the summer.
The Stars Group is planning to launch its Akwesasne Mohawk Casino Resort sportsbook during the upcoming NFL season.
The Seneca tribe is the only NY State casino owner that has not announced a sports betting partnership.
On-site betting was approved by the New York State Gaming Commission in June, although mobile betting faces a number of hurdles and will unlikely be passed for a couple of years.
