FanDuel enters Michigan via MotorCity Casino deal
Partnership will include mobile betting and online gaming once regulations are in place

FanDuel has partnered with MotorCity Casino to gain access to Michigan’s freshly launched retail betting market.
As part of the deal the operator will also launch mobile betting and gaming in the state, once regulations are in place.
FanDuel’s two-storey retail sportsbook will open tomorrow at the Detroit-based casino, offering up to fifty-four IGT-powered kiosks on multiple sports markets.
FanDuel CEO Matt King said: “As we look to expand our national footprint and bring America’s top sportsbook to more customers across the country, this was a perfect fit.
“It has everything we look for – from the industry leading casino operation to the proud and passionate Midwest fanbase,” King said.
“With FanDuel, our guests will be able to engage with their favorite sports in a dynamic new way at Detroit’s only locally-owned and operated casino,” president of MotorCity Casino Bruce Dall said.
PointsBet, The Stars Group and William Hill have signed similar market access deals in the state, since it became the 20th state to legalize betting in December 2019.
Roar Digital is also eyeing Michigan with MGM already having a brick-and-mortar casino in the state.
