Evolution Gaming seals PointsBet US supply deal

Evolution Gaming has inked a live casino supply deal with Australian operator PointsBet in the US market.

PointsBet’s mobile betting product is currently operational across three states – New Jersey, Indiana and Iowa – it will tap into Evolution’s live casino portfolio to launch its online gaming offering in New Jersey.

Evolution is set to expand its live casino studio space in the US to bolster its existing studio in New Jersey which opened in August 2018.

A second space, under construction in Pennsylvania, is due to go live in H2 2020 while a third studio in Michigan is scheduled to debut in 2021.

Sebastian Johannisson, Evolution Gaming CCO, said: “Evolution’s live casino portfolio offers PointsBet a rich mix of world-leading online live casino games including classic table games, online poker variants that are big favourites with US players, and our new generation of award-winning, record-breaking game show games.

“In addition, PointsBet will have the option of exclusively branded dedicated tables and environments, should they require these,” he added.

Seth Young, PointsBet chief innovation officer, commented: “We are thrilled to partner with Evolution Gaming to launch live casino technology in US jurisdictions, where we plan to offer our proprietary online casino platform. The addition of Evolution live casino extends the appeal of PointsBet’s premium product in the rapidly growing US market.”

The operator announced its plans to expand into igaming in the Garden State last week, with Michigan to follow once regulations are in place next year.

PointsBet will launch its proprietary online casino product pending Twin River’s successful acquisition of the Bally’s Atlantic City Hotel & Casino.

Elsewhere, PointsBet sealed a multi-year agreement with Kroenke Sports & Entertainment last week which will see the operator become the exclusive gaming partner of three US sports franchises.
