Entain to offer regulatory and compliance training to US sports betting firms
Entain Foundation jumpstarts program with $100,000 donation to Seton Hall Law School

Entain’s US-based not-for-profit foundation has extended regulatory and compliance-based training to individuals in the US sports betting industry for the first time.
The move builds on the first Gaming Law, Compliance and Integrity Bootcamp, launched at Seton Hall Law School with the Entain Foundation US in March 2020, which was attended by an initial group of 50.
As part of the extension, the seminar will now become an annual event run by Seton Hall.
Entain Foundation US has donated $100,000 to the school to fund the training programme, with in-person training sessions scheduled for 21-23 September.
Subjects covered in the two-day boot camp include insights on the global and US gambling markets and trends, legal and regulatory structures that ensure market integrity and player protection, and principles of transparent compliance.
Dean of Seton Hall Law, Kathleen M. Boozang, welcomed the six-figure donation as contributing to the potential of the expanded program going forward.
“This funding will guarantee the continued success of the bootcamp and ensure that gaming compliance professionals have a strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and the ability to identify, scrutinise, prevent, and address unlawful or unethical behaviors,” she added.
Earlier this month, Entain Foundation agreed new responsible gambling partnerships with organisations working within esports and video gaming.
New partners include the Counter-Strike Professional Players Association (CSPPA), Kindbridge and Rise Above The Disorder. The foundation has also expanded its partnership with EPIC Risk Management.
“The Bootcamp aligns with Entain’s focus on promoting sports integrity, responsible gambling, and corporate compliance,” said Martin Lycka, Entain senior VP for American regulatory affairs and responsible gambling.
“We look forward to extending our partnership with Seton Hall Law School, a leading law school and a recognized global leader in compliance education, to help provide professionals with the specialist skill needed to support the growth of this sector in the US,” he added.
