TheScore nets multi-year Golf Canada gaming partnership
Toronto-headquartered operator eyes Canadian betting and igaming expansion in exclusive agreement

TheScore has secured a multi-year exclusive deal to become the first official gaming partner of Golf Canada.
Under the terms of the agreement, theScore Bet brand will serve as partner for the National Open Golf Championships, the CP Women’s Open and the RBC Canadian Open.
The partnership will start in 2022 and will see theScore Bet brand promoted via on-site and digital activations through Golf Canada’s social media channels, including members club experiences for theScore Bet users.
TheScore SVP of content and marketing Aubrey Levy said: “This partnership provides us with highly engaging access points to introduce theScore Bet to a broad and endemic audience of golf fans.
“It provides us an amazing foothold to interact with Canada’s passionate golf community around two of the most popular golf events in the country,” she added.
The RBC Canadian Open and CP Women’s Open will be held in Ontario in 2022, while the RBC Canadian Open is scheduled to be held in the Toronto area in 2023 and 2024.
A bill legalizing single-event sports betting in Canada will come into force on August 27 and a number of high-profile operators including Entain, Betsson and LeoVegas are targeting gains in the market, alongside theScore’s prospective new owners Penn National Gaming.
Regulators in Ontario are expected to launch the province’s first igaming regulatory regime later this year, having already opened the licensing process.
