Slots Tracker: IGT’s Cleopatra leads the slots charge into 2023
Rhode Island-based developer locks out top two spots as slots rankings moves into new year

EGR North America’s newly expanded slots rankings yielded seismic shifts in January as new leaders emerged and old stalwarts were pushed out.
The expansion of the rankings , provided by EGR’s new data partner eGaming Monitor to include five new territories saw the IGT duo of Cleopatra and Fortune Coin ascend to the gold and silver medal positions in the first top 20 rankings of 2023.
Gameburger Studio’s 9 Masks of Fire took home the bronze medal, just ahead of Shuffle Master’s 88 Fortunes, a longtime leader of the previous tri-state rankings.
To further enhance the US Slots Rankings, EGR’s new source data more than triples the number of sites scrutinized from 27 in December 2022 to 93 in January 2023, with the number of games expanded to 2,927.
In addition to New Jersey, Michigan, and Pennsylvania, the newly expanded rankings have added US states including Delaware and West Virginia, as well as Canadian territories including Ontario, British Columbia, and New Brunswick.
Big Time Gaming’s Bonanza shot up the rankings rising four places to fifth position, while IGT’s Cash Eruption hopped from seventh into sixth position in January.
Shuffle Master’s Jin Ji Bao Xi Endless Treasure and ReelPlay’s Hypernova Megaways slipped by one and three spots, respectively, to seventh and eighth positions in January.
January’s biggest climber was Gameburger Studio’s Hyper Star, which forced its way into the top 20 at 11th spot, rising 12 positions in the process.
Big fallers during the month were Evolution-NetEnt’s Divine Fortune, which dropped seven spots to 18th, IGT’s Wheel of Fortune Extreme Spin, which fell six spots, and IGT’s Five Play Draw Poker Multi Hand, which dropped five places to the foot of the top 20.
The expanded rankings include games pages of more than 2,400 casino sites globally, with the North American charts based on the number of game tiles found for each game across operator sites in the region over the four weeks of that month.
In order to preserve fairness, charts are limited to main casino homepages of sites, with all games on the pages considered as part of the rankings.
Similarly, while it is possible to give weightings to pages, sites, and territories, for the main charts here there are no other weightings allocated.
We include slots, instants, scratchcards, slingo, and crash games but exclude table games, live games, video poker, video bingo, and others.
