Lever will remain at Scientific Games until 31 August and will facilitate the handover of duties to David Smail, who joins from the Morgans Hotel Group where he served as legal counsel.
Isaacs said that Smailâs 20 years of experience in international business and the legal profession made him an âexcellent additionâ to Scientific Games and would further âstrengthen and complementâ its senior management team.
Lever was general counsel at SHFL Entertainment before it was acquired by Bally Technologies, where she served as general counsel and SVP of legal compliance.
She played a key role on Scientific Gamesâ $5.1bn acquisition of Bally Technologies, and was appointed general counsel of the combined firm back in November last year.
âI would like to thank Katie for her outstanding dedication and passion over the last several years as we navigated several significant mergers and complex business transactions,â Gavin Isaacs, Scientific Games CEO, said.
âKatie has built an exceptional legal organization, and we wish her the best as she moves on to pursue other professional and personal interests, including a passion for philanthropy,â he added.
